“BAYANIHAN”
“the hands to protect, nurture, and share
the soil and water to nourish
with compassion, love, and care
should grow and blossom
to sustain now and the future.”
Filipino artist Jonnie Munleon donated prints of his second painting on canvas, “Bayanihan,” to CAB as a fundraiser piece as one of our silent auction prizes at the Asian Culture Festival Gala in Jan 2024, hosted by the WNC AAPI. Skip down the page a bit for more details from that event.
Through collaboration with Jonnie and our printer at Dot Editions, Inc. we’ve created a hundred prints of “Bayanihan” to sell as fundraiser prints! 100% of the proceeds go to Soul & Soil Project (which CAB is a subsect of) and WNC AAPI in honor of Asian Heritage Month, when we made the prints.
Special thanks to the silent auction winner of “Bayanihan” for allowing us to borrow the painting in order to make this happen, and endless thanks to Jonnie!
WHERE TO BUY PRINTS!
12x12 prints of “Bayanihan” are limited and can be purchased at any market CAB is at, while they last!

Wow y’all! Our Fundraiser Art Booth at the Asheville Asian Culture Festival Gala was a huge success!
Thanks so much to all the artists and businesses who donated artwork and experiences to the silent auction and raffle. And a huge thanks to everyone who came out to participate and support!
In total, we helped raise $4,192 to be donated to four local BIPOC non-profits and organizations dedicated to community and land stewardship;
Soulfull Simone Farm, Soul & Soil Project,
Southside Community Farm, and WNC AAPI.
