You’re invited to Caravan Art Bazaar’s first event of 2025, and our first gathering for BIPOC artists!

Some or most of us still haven't met each other in person, and in total there are 17 of us that participated with CAB in various ways. We all have so much to learn about each other, and we are all doing so many awesome things!  Let’s eat good food and get spooky!

Feast With Us

Please RSVP as soon as possible

Food & Halloween?

Most of us missed Halloween in the fallout of Helene, so just for the hell of it, we’re taking Halloween back for a little After Christmas Nightmare potluck party.

The food does not have to be Halloween themed, but bonus points if you want to get that creative! Make whatever you feel like, whether it be something you love or want to try for the first time. Whatever you feel like digging your fangs into!

If you don’t have the capacity to cook or bring anything, no worries! Just let us know so we can make sure there’s enough food to go around regardless.

Beyond enjoying good food and connecting with one another, we are setting deeper intentions as our first collective gathering.

This Hallowed Eve gives us a space to “show and tell” some of our current favorite personal works, whatever that may be! Let’s explore our experiences in the capitalist art world and discuss what has and hasn't been working for us.

Let us also brainstorm how we can all support one another moving forward. As part of the rebuilding of Western North Carolina’s arts community, how will we each be individually moving through this next year, and how can we Collectively navigate this changed landscape?

What We’ll Be Doing

Costumes encouraged,

but not required!

Please bring a dish and just yourself.  While we would love to have other guests - such as partners and other artists - our goal is to keep this particular gathering smallish and intimate.  Plans to host future gatherings that are more chill and open to all are definitely on the horizon, so stay tuned for those, for now, please come alone. This haunted house isn’t THAT big!

Keeping Things Intimate

We'll meet at a friends lodge in Weaverville, about 15min north of downtown Asheville.  The house is a lovely cabin with plenty of parking, plenty of kitchen space, fire place, etc.

236 Longs Chapel Rd. Weaverville, NC
