Friends! Like so many people in Asheville, we have been coordinating ways to strengthen our networks of support, making stronger webs of relationships that will hold us all, no matter what is happening in our world.

Alongside our friends at Cooperative Coffee Shop, where CAB’s current Rotation Gallery is on display, we co-launched the FOOD4GOOD fundraiser to tackle local food insecurity in addition to helping other grassroots mutual aid movements near and far!

ART4AID Support

Several artists featured in the Caravan Art Bazaar Rotating Gallery are donating 10-100% of their sales proceeds from select artworks to mutual aid through the ART4AID program.
Art purchases not only help mutual aid, they also help support local artists, businesses, and neighbors in WNC!

“The ecosystem of Colaborativa La Milpa (CLM) grew out of decades of  cultural organizing and advocacy by grassroots groups for affordable housing and community defense in Buncombe County, NC. In 2018, our Emma-rooted organizations created the Colaborativa La Milpa 501-c3 collective  to share resources and infrastructure to have greater impact, sustainability and be coordinated in our efforts.”

Caravan Art Bazaar’s ART 4 AID program uses art for good by donating a percent of sales from artwork by participating artists to various grassroots mutual aid programs near and far.

To date, CAB has helped raise over $17,000 in funds for Hurricane Helene disaster relief in North Carolina, rainforest conservation in Peru and Sumatra, community land stewardship near Cherokee, affordable housing in Swannanoa NC, community art experiences in Asheville, cultural preservation in Vietnam, and more!
