Friends! Like so many people in Asheville, we have been coordinating ways to strengthen our networks of support, making stronger webs of relationships that will hold us all, no matter what is happening in our world.

Alongside our friends at Cooperative Coffee Shop, where CAB’s current Rotation Gallery is on display, we are co-launching our FOOD4GOOD fundraiser and food drive. We hope you will join us and participate!

“The ecosystem of Colaborativa La Milpa (CLM) grew out of decades of  cultural organizing and advocacy by grassroots groups for affordable housing and community defense in Buncombe County, NC. In 2018, our Emma-rooted organizations created the Colaborativa La Milpa 501-c3 collective  to share resources and infrastructure to have greater impact, sustainability and be coordinated in our efforts.”

CAB has helped raise over $14,500 in funds for Hurricane Helene disaster relief in North Carolina, rainforest conservation in Peru and Sumatra, community land stewardship near Cherokee, affordable housing in Swannanoa NC, community art experiences in Asheville, cultural preservation in Vietnam, and more!
