While aspirations for a national footprint exist, the organization currently focuses its efforts solely in the Southeastern United States to directly address the long-standing systemic racism that serves as the foundation for barriers to the outdoors and outdoor industry.

Color My Outdoors is a 501c3 nonprofit championing racial equity in the outdoors. Their goal is to see more Black and Brown folks in the great outdoors--not just as participants, but also in careers and leadership positions across all aspects of the industry. Through targeted programs like workforce development, skill enhancement, and coalition building, the organization strives to dismantle stereotypes and create new generations of outdoor enthusiasts.
