My artwork reflects the sum of my fascination and obsession with patterns, lines, numbers and math, and my natural draw to duality and attraction of opposites.

I developed and cultivated my style from growing up on the rich, colorful, and cultural tapestry of my home country, the sharp movements of the martial arts of knife fighting, and from my desire and need to turn my experience and collection of memories onto paper.

As a self taught artist, being oblivious to hue, tiny, light and shadow, I learned to use depth with sharp lines and layers built upon layers and layers to achieve the vibrance of color and richness of texture.

Presently passionate about being consumed, and at times, hating and loving the creative process.

Bayanihan is my second painting on canvas, which I made as an auction piece for the Caravan Art Bazaar Fundraiser Booth at the Asheville Asian Culture Festival Gala.

Bayanihan means community.
